Fair and reasonable opinions
These services are suited to companies considering a related-party transaction as laid out by the JSE Limited Listings Requirements as well as affected transactions in terms of securities as required by sections 114 and 115 of the Companies Act.
The Companies Act requires a fair and reasonable opinion when a company acquires more than 5% of the company’s ordinary shares in issue subject to the requirements of sections 114 and 115 of the Act.
A fair and reasonable assessment may only be prepared by an independent expert valuator and cannot be performed by the entity’s currently appointed auditors.
